I'm not going to try to convince you to try these; just do it! Grab these for a quick snack, breakfast bite or after dinner treat. The key with this recipe is to work quickly. Just like rice krispy treats, the mixture molds extremely fast.
Ingredients:
1 c. Corn Syrup
1 c. Sugar
1 c. Cream Peanut Butter
2 t. Vanilla
5 c. Cherrios
Directions:
Combine the sugar and corn syrup in a sauce pan with the heat on low.
Let the mixture boil for one minute before removing it from the heat.
Add peanut butter and vanilla and mix until smooth.
You'll then add the cherrios.
Lay out wax paper on a pan.
Spray pam both on the wax paper and on your hands.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture on the covered and greased pan and shape with your hands.
Place in fridge to let cool.
For easy cleaning, place water in pan and place on low heat to get rid of leftover residue.
**Disclaimer: I only post the desserts/treats that I've obviously tested, know that they work and taste delicious. It always frustrated me when I try a pinterest or blog recipe that doesn't work or a blogger tries to sugar coat it's complexity. I'm here to tell you that I don't sugar coat (no pun intended!) the complexity of my recipes. I strive to be completely honest and open in regards to all the hurtles you may encounter while making each one!!**
