Drab to Fab

You see trash, I see treasure. Rule number one, don't ever throw your "junk" away….most of it can be salvaged. Read below to find out how to DIY your piece of drab into fab.

Tip #1: Spray paint is your best friend. Start off by sanding down your whole peice down and wiping it off with a clean towel. The key here is to make sure you have a clean, smooth surface. Spray one light coat of spray paint, making sure your far away from the surface (this will ensure you don't get spray paint drips). Wait at least an hour before spraying your second coat, again keeping it far from the surface. At this point you'll determine if you need another coat. If your all set, wait at least 24 hours before sanding it down. I sand all the edges with a small piece of sand paper just to achieve the "rustic glam" look. You can totally skip this step if you'd like!

Tip #2: Add new knobs. This makes a HUGE difference when renovating pieces that have drawers. Ps. Hobby Lobby is knob central! They always offer a 40% coupon on their website (or app) and sometimes offer 50% the entire aisle.

Tip #3: Add an adhesive film.  Adhesive film can completely transform the style of your piece. I got my "marble" adhesive film super cheap from amazon (here).
