Cinco De Mayo Party

Who's celebrating Cindo De Mayo Tuesday!? Hello, I am.
I'm gonna help you out with two easy recipes to get you in the festive mood and make your tuesday a little bit more "salsy"!

Churro's
You'll need:
1/4 c. butter
1 c. milk
2 t. sugar
6 oz. flour
1/2 t. salt
4 eggs
Vegetable/canola oil for cooking

Your going to want to start by adding your milk, sugar and butter and bring that to a boil. Turn the heat up just a little bit and add your flour and salt into the mixture. You want to work quickly and use those arm muscles to combine everything together…you should have a nice ball of dough in the end. Transfer your ball of dough into a bowl and let cool before adding your eggs. Beat in the eggs and place the mixture into a piping bag with a star tip…if you don't have a piping bag, snip off a corner of a ziplock bag and add your star tip.

Combine a cup of sugar and 4 teaspoons of cinnamon…..if you want to add more sugar/cinnamon, do so!!

Add a small amount of oil into a deep pan and place on medium heat. Keep your piping bag in one hand and your kitchen scissors in the other. Pipe the dough out and use your kitchen scissors to determine the size of your churro…I cut mine small because I wanted them to be mini. Use the tongs to flip the churros around. I found that because mine were mini, it took about 30 seconds.

Place your churros on a cooling rack and let them sit for 10-15 seconds before placing them in the cinnamon sugar.

I used these super cute burger baskets with wax paper to display them but you can use whatever you'd like. For dipping sauce, I took a cup of nutella and 4-5 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream and mixed them together in a sauce pan.

Now for the most important part, MARGARITAS.
You'll need:
12 oz. Cherry 7up Soda
12 oz. Corona
12 oz. Jose Quervo
12 oz. Frozen Limeade Concentrate
Sprinkles
White Chocolate

Measure out all of your ingredients and mix in the blender, so simple and so delicious. Before pouring your margarita mix into your glasses, melt the white chocolate and place the chocolate on a plate. Dip the rim of your glass into the chocolate and add sprinkles! Pour your mixture into the glasses and corona…and enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!
