Hot Chocolate Spoons

I love that these spoons can be easily personalized for anyone on your Christmas list. There are multiple  toppings you can add to these spoons and multiple ways you can design the spoons to fit every personality! Wrap these up, put them in a mason jar filled with hot chocolate ingredients and tie the top with Christmas colored ribbon!!

Here's what you'll need:
-1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (depending on how many spoons your making, I made 12)
-1 Cup Premier White Chocolate Chips (the picture above only shows 1/2 cup!)
-Wooden Spoons (Hobby Lobby or Etsy)
-Toppings (Marshmallows, Sprinkles, Andes, M&M's, Reese's, Peppermint Shavings, etc)

Customize the Spoons:
-ABC Stamps
-Paint (stripes, polka dots, solid color, two solid colors, etc.)
-Washi Tape

Wrapping Materials:
-Clear Baking Bags (cut the tops of sandwich ziplock bags)
-Ribbon

Find out how to make these below!!

After you have gathered all your materials and have customized your spoons…you'll need to melt the chocolate. Chocolate is not easy to work with because it can easily be overcooked. My tip for you is to microwave the chocolate in 10 second intervals. Take the chocolate out each time and stir until your chocolate starts to have a runny consistency. MAKE SURE YOU STIR BEFORE STICKING THE CHOCOLATE BACK INTO THE MICROWAVE! Sometimes all the chocolate needs is a slow stirring in order for it to obtain that runny consistency….sticking it back in the microwave thinking that it may need more time could actually overcook the chocolate.

Dip your spoons in the melted chocolate and create your masterpiece with different toppings!

After your spoons have completely cooled cut the tops of ziplock bags and stick your spoon inside. Tie it off with a Christmas ribbon and there you have a personalized gift for a co-worker, boss, friend or family member!
