I've kinda made this New York City trip around my birthday, a tradition now. It's my favorite time to head to New York and cover some ground. I love traveling there around the holidays BUT...it's freezing. Obviously, you just go to see the tree, the magical 34th street and do some iceskating. However, it's hard to see everything you want to see when your running into every other store trying to warm up. October in New York is the absolute perfect weather...not to hot, not to cold.
New York can be super intimidating and a tad bit frustrating when you have a "to-see" list and only one full day. My suggestions? Use google maps. I love using it to map out all my destination spots. Google maps will allow you to create your own map and see the distance between each of them. I also love that it because it allows you to assign colors to each destination, categorizing your food spots, shopping, etc. After using it, I print it out and print the New York subway map. I mark which subway line goes to which destination, making the "subway" chaos a little easier.
I hope these tips help you as much as they helped me! Check out the pictures below and a list of all the places I highly recommend!!!
