DIY: Ikea Hack Bookcase & Styling

This project is super easy, all you'll need is (this) Ikea shelving unit and Rust-Oleum spray paint in Pure Gold.

These boxes are also from Ikea (here), I used a small paintbrush and some extra spray paint to make the silver hardware, gold.

I found some antique milk glass at a local thrift store for less than $10, they're perfect for nail polish display!....remember, there's no need to break the bank when it comes to bookcase styling! Antique pieces are my favorite things to style, an old camera, a delicate teacup, porcelain figurines...these all make great conversation pieces!

This acrylic clutch display is actually a letter organizer from staples (similar here)!

Believe it or not, I find a lot of my cheap home decor items at Michaels craft store. The white cylinder vase was from Michaels for $12.99 and I was able to use a coupon for 50% for a steal! I shoved some fake flowers inside to give some extra height to the decor. The tall glass cloche was also from Michaels for $19.99, I used another 50% coupon and found a pair of thrifted antique gold heels to display inside.

Bet your wondering where I found this bronze bulldog sculpture??
Well, I found it at urban outfitters on sale for $20, with a little surprise.....it's an iPhone speaker too! I placed some of my favorite books underneath....found most of these at places like amazon, tj maxx and marshalls...I never pay full price!!
